Lucido's Pasta
Bringing authentic Italian pasta traditions to Texas farmers’ markets since 1984.
Origin Story & Identity
Lucido’s Pasta is part of a long-running Italian pasta tradition in North Texas, with roots going back to 1984 through Pasta Delights, a Dallas-based commercial kitchen known for fresh pasta, ravioli, sauces, lasagnas, and other Italian specialties. The Lucido family brings these products directly to customers through farmers markets across DFW, as well as direct restaurant relationships. For The Local Markethouse, we partner with Chris and Donna Lucido out of Flower Mound. You may also see them at the Flower Mound or Denton Farmers Markets on weekends, where they are known for offering a wide assortment of fresh dried pastas, fresh frozen pastas, ravioli, sauces, and sample packs.
Lucido’s is very much a family effort. Different family members serve different farmers markets across the DFW area, helping make their pasta more accessible to local communities throughout North Texas. Their market table is one of those stops where shoppers come over for “just a look” and leave with ravioli, sauce, pasta sample packs, and a very good dinner plan.
Lucido’s offers a wide assortment of Italian staples and specialty items, including fresh dried pastas, fresh frozen pastas, ravioli, pasta sample packs, sauces, lasagnas, Italian sausage, seasonal and specialty pasta items, and gluten-free options when available. Their products are made for easy, high-quality meals at home, from simple weeknight pasta dinners to more special weekend meals.
Lucido’s is especially known for their ravioli and dried pasta sample packs, which are among their top sellers. The ravioli is a customer favorite because it makes a meal feel complete with very little effort: boil, sauce, finish, serve. The dried pasta sample packs are also popular because they let customers try a variety of pasta shapes and styles, making them great for pantry stocking, gifting, or building easy dinners around different sauces and proteins.
Philosophy & Practices
Lucido’s focuses on authentic Italian pasta traditions, quality ingredients, and products that help people make better meals at home without overcomplicating dinner. Their approach is rooted in fresh pasta, family recipes, and direct-to-customer relationships through farmers markets and local partnerships.
Lucido’s products are not mass-market grocery pasta. They are produced through a local commercial kitchen and sold through farmers markets, restaurant relationships, and direct local channels. Their fresh dried pasta has a shorter shelf life than conventional boxed pasta (around 12 days) which is part of what makes it different. It is designed to offer the quality and texture of fresh pasta with a bit more convenience.
Fresh pasta requires more careful timing, storage, transportation, and handling than standard shelf-stable pasta. Balancing production, farmers market schedules, restaurant needs, and customer demand across DFW takes a lot of coordination, especially with fresh and frozen products that need to be handled properly from kitchen to market to home.
Daily Life & Personal Connection to the Work
One of the best parts of Lucido’s market presence is the direct connection with customers. Chris and Donna help shoppers choose products, talk through meal ideas, and find the right pasta or sauce for the kind of dinner they want to make. That in-person market experience is a big part of what makes Lucido’s a strong fit for The Local Markethouse: quality products, approachable recommendations, and real people behind the table.
Lucido’s makes dinner very easy to build. Boil your pasta or ravioli, warm your sauce, add olive oil or butter if desired, then finish with parmesan, herbs, cracked pepper, greens, or sausage. Easy pairings include ravioli with tomato basil sauce, fresh pasta with pesto and roasted vegetables, dried pasta with olive oil, garlic, and herbs, ravioli with alfredo and cracked black pepper, or pasta with Italian sausage and red sauce.
We are excited to make Lucido’s more accessible through The Local Markethouse so customers can work their pasta, ravioli, sauces, and sample packs into their regular grocery rhythm. Their products are a natural fit for easy dinner bundles, pasta night pairings, freezer-friendly meals, and seasonal menu ideas. As more customers discover them through local pickup and delivery, we’re excited to help introduce Lucido’s to even more families across Flower Mound, Roanoke, Denton, and surrounding communities.
