Origin Story & Identity
I had the recipe since 2013 after finding it in a cookbook my grandma had after she passed. It looked interesting so I made it for myself and then others. In 2020 when the world shutdown I started planning out doing markets and maybe selling to restaurants. I made up the first five versions, original, bold, mild, spicy, and hot. Then a fellow vendor gave me the idea for ground jalapeno which was how Texas was created. Then the jeweler who cleaned my wedding ring gave me the idea for cardamom, so sweet was made. After having 7 of 7 for a while, a co worker asked if I could get anything hotter than my hot. Called my spice dealer and was informed ground Carolina Reaper is a thing. After talking with my sister and co worker the Hot AF! Made it’s debut.
I am Whole30 and GoTexan approved. Food handlers and manufacture license. In case you want to know about my real life I have my SPHR and Mental Health First Aid certificate
Three things:
1. All are a low/no salt recipe because while we do need salt, you can have great flavor without a lot of salt. You do not need a day’s worth of sodium in a seasoning mix.
2. I have always believed in fairy’s and their magic. That’s why my mascot is a little fairy and I say that my mixes are “magically mixed.”
3. My road name is Vespa, my husband’s is Lonestar. “May the Schwartz be With You,” is a nod to our favorite movie and tradition of watching it on Valentines Day. And yes, with the minimal German I do remember from studying it all through high school and some college, I am well aware schwarz means black in German.
A 7 spice mix in 8 varieties. One has won 4 awards, and one has one 2. All but the sweet has won an award.
All the mixes are a base of garlic, cumin, turmeric, and ginger. From the original I spun the other three ingredients, knowing that if I kept the base, I had the magic.

Philosophy & Practices
Explaining that it’s so much more than a BBQ rub. Yes, you can use it that way, but because all of them are a fine powder, it is very versatile.
Daily Life & Personal Connection to the Work
Connecting with people, hearing their ideas, and encouraging new people who are just starting out.
So, no exact recipes because I measure with my heart and just cook as I go, but sweet potatoes, tacos, salads, and my chicken chili are my go-to’s. I do have lots of pictures though and in each one know what I used on them.
One day I want to create a 7-spice jerk mix, I love jerk seasoning but can’t seem to get it down to my formula. Having a state fair win would be awesome, but there’s no seasoning category. Being able to either have a co-packer or my own facility would be amazing because then I could be certified gluten-free.
