Sourcing & practices

Windview raises its chickens on more than 130 acres of pasture in Boyd, where they are rotated to fresh ground every day. This gives the birds access to outdoor space, natural forage, grasses, bugs, fresh air, and sunshine rather than keeping them confined indoors.

The birds are supplemented with non-GMO feed from a nearby mill that contains no corn or soy. Windview also states that its chickens are raised without antibiotics or growth hormones.

What to expect

Approximately five pounds of whole chicken, including white meat, dark meat, skin, and bones. Compared with the smaller whole bird, this size gives you more meat to serve at once or repurpose for additional meals.
