Details

Small-batch Cowboy Candy from Stephanie at Canning in the Chaos in Flower Mound, Texas. These sweet, tangy jalapeños bring together sticky sweetness, pickled brightness, and a steady peppery kick—making them extremely easy to start putting on everything.

Stephanie uses safe, tested canning recipes and sources produce from her home garden and surrounding community whenever possible. Her approach is grounded in making preserved foods that are interesting enough for a party but practical enough to keep open in the refrigerator all week.

Pile Cowboy Candy onto burgers, pulled pork, tacos, nachos, sandwiches, hot dogs, beans, or cornbread. For the classic easy appetizer, spoon it over cream cheese and serve with crackers. It also belongs on charcuterie boards whenever you need something sweet, acidic, and spicy to cut through rich meats and cheeses.

Stephanie has canned for more than a decade and regularly shares the skills of food preservation and gardening with others. Learn more on the Canning in the Chaos Partner page.
