Details
Fresno peppers are a little hotter than jalapenos and have a bright, fruity heat that hits but doesn't linger.
Fresno peppers from Hollow Trace Market Farm are typically a little hotter than jalapeños, with a lively, fruit-forward flavor that adds warmth without lingering too heavily.
They are a great choice when you want a pepper that brings both flavor and heat.
What makes them special
Fresnos are versatile enough to use fresh, roasted, pickled, or fermented. Their bright flavor works especially well in hot sauce, salsa, marinades, dressings, and dishes that benefit from a fresh pepper finish.
As with all freshly harvested hot peppers, color and heat may vary naturally throughout the season.
How to use them
-
Slice thinly over tacos, noodles, rice bowls, or sandwiches
-
Blend into salsa, hot sauce, or a spicy vinaigrette
-
Pickle for burgers, nachos, eggs, and grain bowls
-
Roast with tomatoes, onions, and garlic
-
Add to marinades, stir-fries, soups, or chili
-
Ferment into a small batch of homemade pepper sauce
From the farm
Hot peppers are one of Hollow Trace Market Farm’s proudest crops. They are grown in Azle using regenerative, organic-aligned practices, with compost and mulch supporting the soil, no crop sprays, and nearly all of the farm work completed by hand.
