Sourcing & practices

Violet spent years refining her method after moving to Flower Mound and realizing the bagels she remembered from her family’s New Jersey connections were not easy to find locally. Her process is intentionally slow: each batch takes approximately two days and follows the traditional boil-and-bake method essential to developing a bagel’s characteristic texture and flavor.

The bagels are made weekly to order and sold fresh the day they are made. Violet uses the same caliber of ingredients she would choose for her own family, balancing organic and conventional, non-GMO, and traceable ingredients sourced through independent businesses and member-owned cooperatives.

What to expect

A savory, generously seasoned exterior wrapped around a substantial, pleasantly chewy center. The topping adds plenty of flavor without losing the structure and texture of the bagel underneath.

How to enjoy them

Pair with plain or savory cream cheese, layer with egg and cheese, or spread with hummus and top with sliced tomato and scallions. They are also very good torn apart over the kitchen counter before breakfast technically begins.
