Origin Story & Identity
Beaty Farms originated in Virginia in the 1800’s. John Alexander Beaty settled in Aubrey in 1870 where he brought his farm from Virgina. They raised 9 children and began the Beaty legacy that has endured many generations. Beaty Farms is now 7 generations deep with 4 generations still living. Jack & Mary Lynn Beaty began raising Brangus cattle in 1991 to combine the best of 2 breeds. Our cattle is ⅝ Angus & ⅜ Brahman. It combines the marbline & tenderness of Angus with the hardiness of Brahman.
We are proud to be certified under the Texas Beef Quality Product Program & our beef is USDA inspected.Do you have any certifications or special licensing?
This is a family run business that currently consists of 4 generations. We all live on the same road & most of us live on the original “Beaty Land” acquired in the 1800’s.
We raise All-Natural Brangus Beef
With over 150 years of cattle ranching experience (right here in Aubrey!), our family takes pride in raising quality beef the way we believe it should be raised — with care, integrity, and a commitment to our land and animals.
Philosophy & Practices
At Beaty Farms, we believe we are caretakers of the land, not just owners of it. Our family has been ranching in Aubrey, Texas, for more than 150 years, and we understand that every decision we make today impacts future generations. Our goal is to raise healthy cattle while protecting and improving the land they depend on. We believe in working with nature instead of against it, using responsible ranching practices that promote healthy pastures, healthy animals, and a sustainable future for our family and our community.
We rotationally manage our pastures to encourage healthy growth & reduce overgrazing. Our cattle are born & raised on our farm, spending the majority of their lives grazing on wide-open pastures before being grain-finished for exceptional quality & flavor. By doing this, we strive to produce high-quality beef while preserving the land for generations to come.
One thing many people don't realize is how much thought and planning goes into what our cattle eat. We work with animal nutrition experts to feed a custom grain mix that was specifically developed to provide balanced nutrition while producing the high-quality beef our customers expect. Every ingredient is selected with both animal health and beef quality in mind.
Just as important is how we care for the land that grows the forage our cattle graze. Healthy soil produces healthy pastures, which helps support healthy cattle. As a family that's been ranching this land for more than 150 years, we're always thinking beyond today. Our goal is to leave the land in better condition for the next generation while raising cattle with the care and respect they deserve.
The biggest challenge is the time, hard work, and unwavering dedication it takes. Ranching isn't an 8-to-5 job—it's a 24/7, 365-day commitment. Our cattle don't know what day of the week it is, and neither do we.
During calving season in February, it's not unusual to find newborn calves in our bathtubs or utility rooms, where we bring them inside to protect them from ice, snow, and freezing temperatures. Every calf matters. They're not just livestock to us—they're animals we've cared for since the day they were born, and we treat them like part of our extended family.
We believe that's the difference a family ranch makes. The long days, sleepless nights, and extra effort may go unnoticed, but they're all part of our commitment to raising healthy cattle and producing beef we're proud to put on our own family's table.
Daily Life & Personal Connection to the Work
Spending time with family, raising healthy cattle with care, and sharing the fruits of our hard work with customers who appreciate locally raised beef.
We love taking the little kids around on our side-by-side to go see/pet the cows & teach them how to count early :) Our favorite way to enjoy our beef is on the grill or smoker. There is nothing better than a tender steak!
We are excited to continue perfecting our herd & giving something to pass down for many generations to come!
