How they cook (and why it matters)

Dark meat and bone-in cuts are hard to mess up. Drumsticks stay tender and juicy while the skin gets beautifully crisp, making them perfect for roasting, grilling, smoking, or air frying. They also hold up especially well to marinades, spice rubs, barbecue sauce, and longer cook times.

How we love to use them

Roasted with garlic, herbs, and butter, grilled and brushed with barbecue sauce, tossed in a spicy dry rub, or cooked low and slow until the meat practically falls from the bone. They’re an easy weeknight staple that also happens to be very good backyard-cookout food.
